We encourage employees to visit according to the following schedule. Plan to arrive and park a half hour before designated time slot.

The weather in January is unpredictable. Dress warmly and be prepared to walk around the shipyard. Attendees should be prepared to wait in line outdoors for long periods of time.

If necessary due to inclement weather, BIW will cancel the event by 1 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022.

All ages are welcome; however, walking on the Zumwalt is physically demanding in that it requires climbing stairs and steep ladders. Children under 5 years old cannot board the ship. Children cannot be carried onto the ship for the walk though. People who cannot board the ship will be able to have a photo taken in front of the ship.

Light refreshments will be provided.
