Private Event Policy

BIW may deny entry to or remove any person for any reason. Any violation of this Private Event Policy will result in the removal of the guest(s) from General Dynamics Bath Iron Works (BIW) property.

All persons entering the shipyard must be U.S. citizens.

All persons entering the shipyard must remain within the designated walkways.

No weapons, firearms; fireworks, flares; radios, sound amplifiers (other than hearing aids), noisemakers, or air horns; or laser pointers, large bags, or outside food or drinks will be allowed.

No children under age 5 will be allowed to board a ship; those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No pets will be allowed. (Trained service dogs will be permitted).

No personal photography will be allowed except in designated areas.

All persons in attendance may be filmed, photographed, or recorded.

Employees are responsible for the safety and behavior of their guests.

Employees and guests will not hold BIW liable for any death, injury, illness or loss of property.

For safety purposes, all persons entering BIW property will be subject to inspection for items which may cause danger or disruption to the event or other guests, or which are prohibited items under BIW policies. Such items may be confiscated in the discretion of BIW staff. Any guest who declines to be checked may be denied entry to BIW.

All persons entering will not use or possess illegal drugs, consume alcoholic beverages, or smoke any substance in any medium, including electric cigarettes, pipes, portable vaporizers and vape pens, on BIW property.

All persons in attendance will treat others with respect, will not engage in disruptive behavior (such as fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the stage or other restricted areas; using foul or abusive language or obscene gestures; cycling, skating, rollerblading, or skateboarding or similar activities), nor impede the view of others or interfere with the formal nature of the event.

All persons in attendance will comply with requests from BIW staff and police and emergency services regarding facility operations and emergency-response procedures.

Anyone who does not comply with requests from BIW staff or police/emergency service personnel will be removed from the property.

Employees and their Guests enter the event at their own risk.

NOTICE OF FILMING, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND RECORDING:

When you enter Bath Iron Works Corporation (“BIW”) premises, you enter areas where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, training, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by BIW and its affiliates and agents.

You release BIW, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, attorneys, subsidiaries, parent company, and affiliated companies, successors or assigns, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
