General Dynamics Bath Iron Works Becomes First Employer in Maine to Add Mamava Lactation Pods for Working Mothers

BATH, Maine – General Dynamics Bath Iron Works has become the first company in Maine to provide Mamava lactation pods for its employees. Based in Burlington, VT, Mamava is the expert in lactation space design, thoughtfully designing solutions for breastfeeding moms on the go. For more information, visit www.mamava.com.

The pods will help to create a culture that supports BIW working mothers, ensuring they have a private, sanitary and power-ready pumping location available to them while at work. They will be installed in conjunction with National Breastfeeding Month. One will be located in the Main Shipyard in Bath and one at a Brunswick Facility.

“BIW strives to be a workplace that supports the needs of all employees and their families. Adding these lactation spaces is critical to supporting our working mothers,” said Jon Mason, Director, HR Services.

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is an equal opportunity employer.
