On Friday, November 13th, the Independent Guards Association (IGA) voted to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. The agreement, which goes into effect at midnight on November 15th, has a duration of four years and contains numerous improvements to wages and benefits over the life of the contract. The IGA represents BIW’s Security Force charged with protecting BIW’s essential mission of delivering ships to the U.S. Navy.
